The Youngest

The Youngest

Being the youngest in a large family can be overwhelming, and safe.  Your voice can get lost in the crowd pretty quickly.  However, you also have a lot of built-in care givers. You
are not as big as a threat to the other siblings.  Everyone is daily jockeying for position as they attempt to establish and maintain a pecking order.  You are the baby….You are the baby….You are cute and mostly seen as the one who needs protection.

You are given gentle threats or a gentle push by the older siblings if you get in the way and mostly avoid the thumping that can come from competing siblings in the pack.

Recreation Time:    Sometimes, you are afforded more of an opportunity to pursue interests without others interrupting.

The Gift of Solitude:    Sometimes, the quieter surroundings of the youngest in a large family whose siblings have moved out of the family home, has other unexpected
benefits.

Depth Of Character:   The older siblings see you mostly as a cute kid.  They are moving out to other pastures, so they are not seeing the young man with a gentle and compassionate heart.

Footsteps:  It is inevitable that older brothers leave an imprint on the younger brothers.  In your case..they have passed on the tradition of hard work and operating “The Lawn Business.”

What they know:  They know you as the “Baby”, the “Youngest”, and jokingly as the “Runt”.  They do not see the emerging strength and form. You are a bit of a
mystery…emerging from the shadows of your siblings to manhood.
